Brush Pile
The City of Hickman maintains a community brush pile for residents who live within the City limits. This brush pile is located in the southeast corner of the City's Main Park behind the recycling center. The brush pile is a locked facility and keys may be checked out from the City Office. Please note that if you lose your key in any capacity you are subject to a $25.00 replacement fee. The brush pile is burned off by the City's Public Works staff as necessary. The brush pile is accessible during normal park hours.
The brush pile is monitored by the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department as part of their Air Quality Program. Any violators could be ticketed and fined for littering.
Only grass clippings, tree or shrub limbs, and leaves are allowed in the City's brush pile.
The following items are strictly prohibited: lumber, garbage, bags, concrete, furniture, and railroad ties.
